Partial Job Description: Executive Director

Base Pay Range: $72,862 – $113,847

Education:

  • Minimum under-graduate degree from a creditable college or university preferably with a concentration in Social Services, Business or Early Childhood Education. A Master’s Degree is preferable but not a requirement.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years in a leadership capacity demonstrating abilities in program management, staff development, fiscal management and the ability to work with a Board of Directors.

Job Summary:

Kids Central, Inc. is looking for an Executive Director who wants to work in an established program of service delivery managing and directing the Early Head Start and Head Start programs for Wise and Dickenson counties and the city of Norton. Kids Central, Inc. employs a staff of 100 professionals and paraprofessionals serving 324 children. The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of the program.

The Executive Director will be responsible for:

  • Development of a grant driven budget for the program administered by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Head Start
  • Implementation of developed Policies and Procedures as well as continued development of new and up-dated Policies and Procedures.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to design and improve processes
  • Ability to collaborate with staff members
  • Elevated level of integrity and discretion
  • Impeccable attention to detail

The base pay range for this position is $72,862 – $113,847 per year. Pay is based on applicant skills and experience and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, is offered.
