Who are we?
Kids Central, Inc (KCI) is a private, non-profit, designated as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt corporation, serving the educational, health, social and nutritional needs of families in the City of Norton, Wise, and Dickenson Counties.
During KCI’s VA LOVEworks ribbon cutting ceremony, Darrell Edwards, Executive Director, announced the addition of three new centers serving Early Head Start children, ages birth to three. Will Sturgill, Board of Directors President, recognized and supported the additional services to families in our local communities.
Our infant and toddler services are now available in Wise at the UVA Wise campus, in Pound at our newly renovated Early Head Start Center and in Big Stone Gap, at our current location. Edwards stated, “We are already providing Early Head Start services in Norton at our Esserville campus and at our Appalachia Center.”
We are taking applications for services to children and families from pre-natal to three years of age.
