Dear KCI Families,
The Senior Management team, in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Health, has decided to temporarily move our program services to virtual. Due to the increasing number of positive COVID cases in staff and children and a large number of center closures, staff will be providing services virtually beginning Feb. 4, 2022 and continuing through Feb. 11, 2022.
Please check Kasey Kangaroo’s Facebook or with your child’s teacher by Feb 11 for updates about the week of Feb 14-18, 2022. We expect to resume face to face services no later than Feb 21, 2022.
I know this change is a burden to our families and we apologize for the inconvenience, but our biggest priority is the safety of our staff and students. We are hoping this temporary program change now will assist us with navigating the current COVID surge in our area and come out the other side stronger than ever.
What does virtual services mean for my child? Kids Central, Inc. has so many different program options that it would be impossible to list in this letter. Your child’s teacher will be contacting you to explain what the next steps are for you and your child. Staff will begin reaching out to families to schedule packet/supply and food deliveries next week, and as always, please reach out to us if you have any concerns or questions.
Sincerely,
Darrell Edwards, Executive Director, ext. 105
Tammy Mullins, Assistant Director, Education, ext. 113
Terry Gentry, Assistant Director, Family Services, ext. 114
Treavor Calhoun, Comptroller, ext. 116
Allen Couch, HR, ext 102
